Do Pakistani passport holders need a transit visa for Doha (DOH)?
No visa needed to connect airside at Hamad International Airport on one ticket, flying on within 24 hours.
For an airside connection at Hamad International Airport, Qatar: one ticket, bags checked through, onward flight to another country, no immigration.
Leaving the airport during the layover
Indians and Pakistanis can get a visa on arrival with a prepaid hotel booking through Discover Qatar, or a Hayya e-visa in advance. Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans and Nepalis need a Hayya tourist visa before travel. Holders of a valid US, UK, Schengen, Canadian, Australian or New Zealand visa have easier routes.
Watch out
A self-transfer on separate tickets needs a Qatari visa to collect and check in bags again.
Checked on 25 October 2026 against these sources. Transit rules change often, and the airline and the immigration authority have the final say, so confirm with your airline before you travel.
